Medical insurance

Medtronic provides employees and their dependents with comprehensive medical insurance coverage. Medical insurance is fully paid by Medtronic. 

Life & disability insurance

Medtronic provides group life & disability insurance which is 100% Medtronic paid. In the event of death, a lump sum benefit of 3x Annual Base Salary will be paid out to the designated beneficiary. In the event of disability, a lump sum benefit of 2x Annual Base Salary will be paid out to the designated beneficiary.

Pension & savings

Employee Stock Purchase Plan

As a Medtronic employee you can avail of the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), where you can purchase Medtronic stock each calendar quarter at a discounted rate. It is an opportunity to share in the success of Medtronic.

Voluntary company pension

All regular Medtronic employees are eligible to participate in the voluntary company pension plan after 2 months of employment. Medtronic will also contribute 3% in return for employee’s contribution.

Flex, together program

Flex, Together is a flexible benefits program that allows employees to select additional benefits aligned with their personal needs.  

Flexible benefits: 

  • Wellbeing allowance: Employees are provided with allowance that can be used to support wellbeing interests, whether it be gym, sports, nutrition, reading or massage. 
  • Meal vouchers: Employees are provided a standard monthly meal allowance. A portion of the meal allowance is legally exempt from Income Tax and Social Security when the amounts are subject to Stamp Tax in full.  
  • Voluntary pension plan (Flex): Employees can make individual pension payments from their flexible benefits budget using the group individual pension agreement. 
  • Vouchers: Employees can spend their flexible budget on purchasing vouchers to online marketplaces with an additional discount. 

Any allowance amount that is not spent on other benefits will be paid in cash with an employee’s May payroll. All amounts are gross and are subject to any required tax deductions. 

Crèche allowance for female employees

Female employees who have child(ren) under age 6 are provided with an additional crèche allowance. This allowance will be paid in cash in the May payroll. All amounts are gross and are subject to any required tax deductions. 

Transport allowance

Medtronic provides a transportation allowance to all employees who do not have a company car or use shuttle. The allowance is paid monthly. 

Meal allowance

All employees are entitled to meal allowance given through Ticket Card.
