Group medical insurance

Medtronic Group Medical Insurance provides comprehensive medical coverage for employees and dependents during the time of sickness.


  • Guidelines of coverage: Age Eligibility
  • Employee – from age 16 years old till 64 years old and must be actively working in the company
  • Spouse – from age 16 years old to 64 years old
  • Children (unmarried) – from age 15 days old till 18 years old only. However, if they are still on full-time higher education and not gainfully employed, the coverage will be extended from 19 years old to 23 years old

Group life insurance

Medtronic Group Term Life (GTL) provides a lump sum payment to employee’s beneficiaries in the event of Death and Total Permanent Disability. The lump sum amount is 36 times basic monthly salary.

Group personal accident insurance

Medtronic Group Personal Accident (AD&D) provides financial coverage against unforeseen events of Accident, Death and Disablement coverage. The sum insured for all employees is 36 X monthly basic salary. It covers bodily injury caused by an Accident during the period of insurance which is sudden, unforeseen and fortuitous causing Death, Disablement and Permanent Total Disablement.

Maternity assistance program

Maternity Assistance Program is granted to all female employees and female spouse who gave birth to their own child through normal delivery, caesarian miscarriage or emergency termination of pregnancy, regardless of frequency, civil status, or legitimacy of her child. Employee can reimburse for Caesarian delivery Rm3,000, Normal Delevery RM2,500 and Miscarriage/Abortion/Complication of Pregnancy – RM 2,000
